At Jozi Experience we provide the following personalised services to our travelers:

Assist With Travel Planning

We work with you one-on-one to develop a custom itinerary tailored to your interests, and make sure that you are paired off with a suitable guide. You tell us what you want to experience, and we will structure a private "experience" for your stay in Jozi. We have arrangements with local hotels and certain restaurants that we have chosen for their value and unique location. We are aware of the social happenings in and around Jozi, as well as what festivals, shows, nightlife and other events occur in the area, so you can continue your unique experience through all hours of the night and day!

The Jozi Experience does not operate a huge fleet of tour buses and does not operate from large corporate offices; we are a small, personalised company, dedicated to you - the "traveler".

Meet & Greet upon arrival

We will be there waiting for you at the airport. No worries about the perils of a strange airport in a different country, or greedy taxi drivers waving at you after your long flight. We'll be there with refreshments and provide a quick ride straight to your hotel for you to unwind and unpack. No need to worry about porters either, we fetch and carry for you.

Jozi Orientation

See Jozi alongside a knowledgeable guide. Learn the history and culture of our City of Gold. Travel around town with an expert, safely and securely. You say you'd like to try local Jozi food? You want to use the internet? You feel like a night out at a local nightclub? We know where to take you! You will be looked after and escorted to all public places in good hands, while being advised by our guides what is safe to do and what you shouldn't be doing. All our guides are multi-lingual and will be able to assist you through conversations with the locals and barter for you when you are negotiating the purchase of an item or any other money related matter.

Extended Guide Services

Guide services are available on a daily or half-day basis for local city tours, shopping or evening entertainment. We can also arrange tours outside Jozi to places such as the Kruger National Park (about 3.5 hours drive from Johannesburg). Accommodation would be at private houses or bungalows and all tours are accompanied by one of our guides in private vehicles.

Or have sundowners with the locals in the suburbs of Jozi? We allow you to experience the lifestyle of Jozi and Soweto with your guide in tow, ensuring your peace of mind and that extra security while you enjoy the city!

A home stay with a Jozi / Soweto family

Stay with a local family for a more personal experience that you will always remember. Share stories and laughs with your new housemates, enjoy home cooking at its finest, meet local people, discuss local news and events and make new friends!

Luggage Storage

Should you have extra luggage that you do not wish to travel around the rest of South Africa with (after your Jozi Experience), we can safely store it for you until you return to Johannesburg.

Experience African Culture

No-one but a true African living in Jozi could show you around this truly vibrant metropolis. During your Jozi experience you can participate in an African cultural ceremony, learn about African spirituality and experience "Ubuntu", explained by Nelson Mandela as follows: A traveler through our country would stop in a village, and he didn't have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops the people give him food, entertain him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu.
